WRPN - The Wave Invites You to Radio Day and Spring Open House!

Ripon, WI – AM1600/93.1FM WRPN - The Wave is thrilled to welcome the community to its Radio Day and Spring Open House on Thursday, March 27, from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at N7502 Radio Road in Ripon. This special event will feature a meet and greet with Bob Bandy, the very first disc jockey on Ripon's Radio Road, who is celebrating his nearly 90th birthday!

Bob Bandy has been a beloved voice in local radio for decades. This is a rare opportunity to meet a true broadcasting legend and reminisce about the golden days of radio.

Guests can enjoy refreshments and snacks provided by Knuth Brewing, take guided tours of the station, and connect with the Hometown Broadcasting family, who will be available to answer any questions. Whether you’re a long-time listener or new to WRPN, we invite you to stop by, say hi, and join us in celebrating Radio Day—we look forward to seeing you there!

Hometown Broadcasting owns The Wave FM 93.1 | AM 1600 WRPN, and The Bug FM 102.3.  WRPN signed on as WCWC on September 15, 1957 on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 P.M.  The first song played was S’ Wonderful by Ray Conniff.
